Q: How can I reuse translations in other projects?
A: Just follow these steps to create a new Translation Memory in Sisulizer:- menu Tools - Translation Engines
- dialog Translation Engines: Click the Green Plus symbol
- dialog New Translation Engine
- S
elect the database you want to use as Translation Memory
- Please make sure that the database exists when it is not in DBISAM format (Sisulizer can create required tables)
If you have more than one Translation Memory, e.g. the Embedded, and the new one, you have to specify two more things:- Specify the read order for translation lookups when you use menu Project - Translate using Translation Engines. You do this in the Source Properties:
- S
elect a source item in the project tree
- Right-click it to open the context menu
- Choose Properties...
- dialog Source Properties: select tab Engines
- enable the Translation Memory you want to use
- disable the Translation Memory you don't want to use
- order them that the Translation Memory which should be read first, is on top of the enabled list
- Make sure that the Translation Memory you want to write to is the top-most enabled Translation Memory in the Source Properties - Engines (view step 1)
