First time I translate a row, Sisulizer searchs all rows with the original text and translates these duplicates automatically, without prompt. Duplicated rows are marked as "Best guess".

I need to disable this behaviour or, at least, to know when it's done.

I tried to configure "Update translations of duplicate strings" (Translations tabpage in General options window) with "Prompt first", but it doesn't work (no message appears and duplicates are translated).

Is there any way to do it?

Thanks,
Juancho.

Hello,

If you have selected "Tools" > "General" > "Translations" tab > "How to select duplicate strings" >"By Original", change it to "By original and Context". Sisulizer with this option automatically translate only duplicates, when strings have both identical context and value. It allows you avoid not matched translations, even if if original strings are identical.
If you want change status assigned to auto-translated items, you should change following Sisulizer setting:
"Tools" > "General" > "Translations" tab > "Change translation status" > "When Importing".

I tried to configure "Update translations of duplicate strings" (Translations tabpage in General options window) with "Prompt first", but it doesn't work (no message appears and duplicates are translated).
"Update translations of duplicate strings" setting is used to replacing existing translations for identical originals, after update one of translation for this original. If you select "Automatically", Sisulizer update all existing translations without confirmation, if you select “Prompt first” Sisuslizer ask about replacing of existed translation.

Best regards,
Janusz

Thanks for the explanation.

I have tried "By original and context" option, but I lost all functionality related to duplicate texts. I wish to use "By original" but also to warn the translator if a first translated text is duplicated.

Is this possible?

Juancho.

Hello,

I’ll ask our developers about implementation option for disabling Translate Duplicate feature and option for confirmation of first duplicate occurrence, but I fear it can cause displaying lot of confirmation dialogs during import or during using "Column" menu > "Translate Duplicates".

Best,
Janusz

Hello Juancho,

Our developers changed behavior of "Prompt first" setting, and this setting from next build will be display confirmation dialog also for updates of empty translation cells for original duplicates.

Best,
Janusz
