Hi,

When we scan our project for changes, Sisulizer reports/marks over 2500 rows with changed status, and from what I've been able to ascertain, all of them appear to be exactly the same (see examples in illustration--I added an English column to see exactly what changes were made). What is it that Sisulizer percieves as changed, and is there a way to make Sisulizer accept rows where it finds a "change" if the text and tagging is unchanged? It takes a considerable amount of time to go through all of the strings to check.

Allen

Could you post a nother sceenshot os that same situation that have the "Previous Original" column visible. That would help me to find out why the status is changed.

or you can private upload that very same SLP file tahat tuo have on the screenshot.

Ilkka

Hi,

I uploaded the files. They're not the exact SLP that is seen in the first image. I created new project files using only one of the CHM files. In this case, there were over 1200 changed rows to start with. In the updated project file, I marked a number of the rows that are of interest with "For review" and "Best guess" status to make them easy to find (see description below).

There appear to be two issues here that are of interest:
  1. Strings that appear to be exactly the same in the original and in the updated file that are given "Changed" status. There are of course many more since I didn't go through all of the strings marked with changed status, but the ones in question here are those I gave "For review" status. They lost their "Changed" status once I adjusted the translation status of course.
  2. Strings in which only a single space has been moved, most often in connection with a <span> tag. There are quite of few of these as well, and having discussed it between ourselves, it seems that we haven't actually made these changes in the source and wonder if it's possible for RoboHelp to do these kinds of things on its own during compilation even though this seems to go against all reason.

Would it be possible to have Sisulizer disregard changes of this nature?
The rest of the "Changed" strings are still marked in the file.

Best regards,

Allen
