Hi,

My boss has asked me to try the evaluation version in order to see what kind of results we get from Google Translate.

I installed the Enterprise copy to trial this.

Before running the translation I registered for an API key for the Google Translate service and placed in into the setup.

However each time I attempt to run the translation it reports:

11:24:04 AM        Translate using translation engines
11:24:04 AM    Note    Operation may take several minutes. Press Esc to cancel.
11:48:56 AM    Error    Could not translate "12". Google Translate reported an error message: Suspected Terms of Service Abuse. Please see http://code.google.com/apis/errors
You should get your own API key for Google Translate service.
11:48:57 AM        4418 translations
11:48:57 AM        Notes: 1
11:48:57 AM        Errors: 1
11:48:57 AM        Elapsed time 24 min 52 s

Is this merely a limitation of the evaluation version or could there be something else stopping the use of the entered API key?

Many thanks,

Peter.

Hi Janusz,

Was just wondering if there were any updates on this issue?

The problem was cause most likely by a bug in Sisulizer. Sisulizer passed the internal IP address to Google instead of external one. Because most uses have the same internal address this IP gets banned very quickly in Google.

Starting in build 307 Sisulizer passes your external IP address to Google. This should prevent Google banning the IP.

Hi Elena,

Since Google Translate is an external service it never can be 100% reliable by design.

The message you got says that your connection to the Google Server broke down. Internet connections are never 100% stable. Either your connection or the connection of the Google Server might have had an outtake. Or there was a problem in your internal connection to the router or firewall or your firewall failed.

Nothing we can do against that from here

Markus

Hello Markys,

And what about the error message which says that I should get my own API key for Google Translate Service? It does not allow me to continue working with Google translation engine

Hello,

You can find information about Google API key (and how get it) in this http://www.the-localization-tool.com/?p=1556 article on our blog. However, I recommend wait with using of own API key to build 307, because our R&D found bug in implementation of this feature to build 306.

Best regards,
Janusz

Hi is there an ETA on the 307 build? Will it be possible to try an evaluation version of this before I recommend to my boss we get the Enterprise version?
