Can Sisulizer help me to translate setup (single executable) or .msi generated by IS2008?

Thanks.

Hi Maurix,

in the moment we do not have support for the .msi format - while it is on our road map and our developers already presented some promissing results.

In the moment there are other things before it on the road map (with much more customer request) so we can not give you any time frame when we complete the support for that format. Sorry for not having better news at the moment.

Best

Markus

Hi!

Regarding this topic, I was experimenting on an InstallShield project and while importing the strings1033.txt (the one exported from InstallShield), I got this error:

19:37:16 Scanning file "C:\Documents and Settings\dcs\My Documents\ImporExpor\String1033.txt"

All the strings that belong to InstallShield appear in the list of localizable strings, but the ones that I inserted do not.
I also tried a manual txt import. This one worked.

Best regards

Hello,

As Markus told, Sisulizer can't localize binary InstallShield setup files, but yo could try localize InstallShield Setup Project files (ISM files), because this file type use XML format. More information about this, you can find in this topic on our forum:
http://www.sisulizer.net/view_topic.php?id=1240&forum_id=7&highlight=ism

Regarding this topic, I was experimenting on an InstallShield project and while importing the strings1033.txt (the one exported from InstallShield), I got this error:
I think this exported txt file has complicated structure, and for this reason hard to find correct txt definition for Sisulizer.

Best regards,
Janusz
