Hello,

On the project tree, some of my units display a small reddish spot on the icon, could you please explain the meaning of this spot ? (see attached image)

Best regards,
Vincent

It means that the form is an inherited form. It has been inherited from another form.

Thank you Ilkka,

I suppose this is related to the check box called "Scanner hiérarchiquement les formes héritées" in the project options (see attached image) ?

This check box is absent from the help, could you explain what it does ? And why do we need to know that a form is inherited during translation ?

Best regards,
Vincent

If you check that, all inherited forms will be scanned hierarchically. Each child underneath its parent.

See the picture.

OK,

So the forms will be organised differently on the tree. But is it only a different way of showing the forms or does it affect the way the data is processed during scan ? Does it affect any translation process or rules ? Is it only aesthetic ?

Vincent

It is only cosmetic. It doesn't affect to the translations. Some users perefer flat view like in Delphi. Others like to use a tree view. You can choose.
