I installed the new version,  295, and now it will not run. I get the following error message:

(Title:) C:\Program Files\Sisulizer 2008\Sisulizer.exe
(Message:) Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.
[OK]

There is no other information. I have removed 295 and re installed 292 and it works just fine. Running XP SP3. I have admin rights.

Can you help? TIA

Hello,

Could you update your Sisulizer to build 295 again? I'm curious if issue is reproducible on your PC. Maybe it is related to this thread: http://www.sisulizer.net/forum4/1765.html and Sisulizer is blocked by anti-virus software.

Best regards,
Janusz

Hi,

Do you by any chance use Sophos Virus protection? There was a false positive with the latest SL build. The result was, that Sisulizer.exe is removed from your system. Please check if your sisulizer.exe still exists in the given path.

Markus

Yes, I do. I did see the other forum posts about that, but mine never gave me the Sophos error from Sophos. However upon further investigation, I did find the file in Sophos quarantine, and removed it from quarantine. After a reboot, it works fine.

Thanks for your help, hopefully my notes will help someone else.

Sophos already fixed the issue... but it will take a while until everybody has the updated database :-(
We will have a new build next week and hope it will not match their signature database as false positive again.

What a pain... But glad to hear you can work again!

Sorry for all the hassle.

Markus
