i how can i get slmake to validate with the validation settings i have set through the sisulizer ide? eg. i have a project called translate.slp where i have the validation set to only check for missing translations and inconsistent format strings. from within the ide the validation does not give me any warnings or errors.

however when ran through slmake (with commandline "validate -w -lang:en translate.slp") it validates ALL so gives me lots of errors for validations i'm not interested in.
i also have included the translate.sds file on our buildserver (which seems to store the validation settings, correct?) next to the slp file in the hope that slmake would pick it up, but to no avail.

Hi Daniel,

You could start Sisulizer on that server and set up your validations in the GUI. Sisulizer stores these values and in the next run SLMAKE should be able to find them.

nope, i already tried that and that does not make any difference...on our buildserver it's exactly the same scenario.

why would you think this would solve it, the validation settings are stored in the sds file, right?

Yes, it is in that file. My idea was, that if Sisulizer writes it, then it will be at the place it expects it.

Did you give your validation settings a name?

Markus

no i didn't. but i have now, and still with the same results.
you could easily reproduce this; like i said even on the same machine (buildserver or my pc) the result is always the same, ok in the ide but validates all from the commandline...

This was a bug in SlMake. It did not correctly read the validation settings from .sds file. I fixed this in build 301. New build will come out next week.
