Hi

We have a project into which we are trying to import some translation updates, as part of which the translator has moved and resized some controls on a form.  However, after the import these controls remain in their original positions and sizes.

Please bear in mind that I am a complete novice with Sisulizer as all the people who worked with it before have now left the company, so I am working to a list of instructions. I am quite prepared to believe that there is a simple option I am missing!

TIA

Hi,

Where did you expect to see the moved and resized controls? Perhaps you expect that the original sizes and positions are changed. But Sisulizer stores these information for each target language separately. Sisulizer will never change your original. Perhaps you had a wrong expectation in this.

Or you did check the option "Inport only strings" in the import Wizard. This would filter out all layout information in the import process. Then also in the target language the changed positions will not show.

Hope this helps

Markus

This is, because controls sizes/positions are Integer data type, not strings. You can find some additional information related to changing of controls sizes/positions in this http://www.the-localization-tool.com/?p=31 and this http://www.the-localization-tool.com/?p=636 article on our blog.

Best,
Janusz

Could you upload to us both Sisulizer projects (your main project and imported project)? We'll check it with your files. More information about our upload system you can find in this http://www.the-localization-tool.com/?p=808 article on our blog.

Apologies for the delay in responding - I discovered that there was something strange about the project I was using, as it was twice the size it should have been and contained some dialog layouts that were changed quite a while ago, so I reverted to a previous version to import the changes into.

Sorry to have brought up a problem which may not even exist.
