Hi,

I am getting an UnExpected exception error when I load Visual Studio Project with resource files. It asked me to import all the resource files and at the end I got the "UnExpected Error". Please see the attached file.
Currently we are evaluating the software so that we can use this in our projects.
Also, the error we got is on Windows XP machine in which Visual Studio 2008, 2010 is installed.

Could you please help me in solving this.

Regards
Phani Kumar

Hi,

To look into this we need the files you try to scan (VS Project plus resource files) and your .slp. Please zip them and upload them using private upload.

Please use the "Private Upload" button right above this post. It helps us to keep track of uploads and forums posts.

We will look into it.

Markus

Hi,

I got your files.

I created a new project (File - New) and used the csproj you send. I used the default settings in the import.
Sisulizer asks me if I want to import existing translations and then it scanned without any error or warning. I tried that three times without any issue.

Do you use the latest build 306?

Can you please try to reproduce the bug on your machine.

Markus

Yes, send SLP file too. I have got only your VS files, so I tested this issue with my own Sisulizer project file based on these source files.

Best regards,
Janusz

Hi Phani,

Thank you for bug report, I'll forward it to our developers. I have received your SLP file, and I performed following tests:
- I created project with matched settings to your SLP (with tarnslations import)
- I imported translations directly to your project via "Project" menu -> "Import translations from Localized Files"
Additional, Markus tested it on Windows XP (VM), but we still can't reproduce this error. However, we will try find a reproduce way for this. Of course, we will be grateful for all useful information related to circumstances ot the error.

Best regards,
Janusz

OK, thanks. Could you upload to us also Sisulizer.slo file (Sisulizer settings file)? This file is located in Sisulizer installation directory on Windows XP (e.g. C:\Program files\Sisulizer 2010)

Best regards,
Janusz

Thank you for file. I reproduced this error with your SLO file. We let you know about fixing this issue.
Workaround:
Uncheck "Show How to Translate dialog" in "Tools" menu -> "General" -> "Settings" tab, and don't use "How to Tnslate" menu items in Project/Column menus.

Best regards,
Janusz

OK, we'll check this issue. You can try download Sisulizer as ZIP archive:
http://www.sisulizer.com/support/downloads/download2.shtml?fn=zip
BTW:
When you generate Sisulizer exchange package (project) for your translator via "File" menu -> "Exchange Wizard", you can customize contents of this project, but also include setup of Sisulizer Free edition to this package. In this case Sisulizer generate on your PC special installer with Sisulizer setup and targeted project, so your translator needn't download Sisulizer setup from our website.

Best regards,
Janusz

Hi,

We have good experience with Free Download Manager. It should speed up your downloads and it has a resume function. This way you do not need to start your download from the very start every time if it fails. It is simply a long distance between you and the servers...
