I have a SL project which translates my SilverLight application. Everything is working fine. When I change the language runtime, then the application (GUI) is also changing.

But texts which come from a seperate class dll are not changing?

In the silverlight project is a class library (MyClass.dll) which has is own resource strings. I have translated this strings and build the project (in SL). SL creates for every language a differtent MyClass.Resource.dll file. When I check this file, I can see the correct text so the translation seems to be ok?

What's wrong. Do I need to copy these files into a special place?

Hi,

What happens if you start the application in e.g. Dutch language. Does it load the matching Dutch DLL?

I fear the problem is, that even if you switch the language somehow at runtime it still thinks it is running in the initial language. The makers of Silverlight did not implement something for a runtime language switch. If an additional DLL is loaded it will load in the language set at start-up.

Markus,

I use the example you sent me to use the runtime language switch (the Javascript). So when changing the language a new XAP file is loaded. I assume that the dll file is related to XAP file?

Ok,

I'll ask our R&D if they have some idea.
