 Uh, the thing doesn't work. After playing with it a while, it seems you added the custom property to the wrong component. Moving the custom property "LayoutString" from the component Janus.Windows.GridEx.GridEx to Janus.Windows.GridEx.GridExLayout works a lot better. Can you confirm this?

 You are right. Janus.Windows.GridEx.GridExLayout needs also special processng. I will implement this.

 Janus.Windows.GridEX.GridEXLayout
Janus.Windows.GridEX.GridEX
Janus.Windows.TimeLine.TimeLineLayout

All have LayoutString property. I added XML handling in the default mappings. The new mappings are in 1.6.1

in the mean time out can just copy the mappinsg of Janus.Windows.GridEX.GridEXLayout to Janus.Windows.GridEX.GridEX
