I shutdown Sisulizer yesterday without any problems. Now when I start it I get to the first register screen where I can select "Register, Evaluate or Help". I click Evaluate and immediately get "There is already and object named SLINFORMATION in the database", followed by a bunch of error messages. Eventually SL is started but I get AVs whatever I do. I tried detaching the TM database but then I got error messages that it couldn't log in. I attached the db again and started SQL Server Profiler and yes. it is executing the following statement: CREATE TABLE SLINFORMATION (ParameterTm VARCHAR(100) NOT NULL, ValueTm VARCHAR(100) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY(ParameterTm)); This although the SLINFORMATION table is already in the TM database. I dropped the database and recreated it with the same name and now I am able to start Sisulizer. That is a rather naughty bug. First, it tries to create tables that are already in the database, second it blows up with AVs and you cannot use the program at all. /Fredrik Attachment: Sisulizer start error.JPG (Downloaded 19 times)

Have you added a SQL Server translation memory? Jaakko

Yes, I have created a new TM in SQL Server with the name TM. It is enabled under Translation Engines and is first in the list. Whenever Multilizer starts I get the error message that it cannot create the SLINFORMATION table. If I drop the database and re-create it I can start Multilizer once (cause the tables does not exist then) but if I shutdown and restart again, the problem is back. Obviously it does not check for the existance of the tables but tries to create them anyway. The database is created by the SA user so dbo is the owner. It does not matter whether the TM is enabled or not (What does that flag do?) Last edited on Fri Sep 7th, 2007 08:36 pm by Frede |
