According to Sisulizer 2008's what's new page, it supports .mo file while it seems still missing. Please have a look at this.

Another question is when Sisulizer will support .msi setup packages, which is mentioned to be added in 2.0 (2008)?

Thanks.

Hi Starr,

please look into Properties -> Options of your .po source in Sisulizer V2008.

Best

Markus

Thanks for your quick reply, sir. But it seems that your what's new info is something misleading as "Support for .mo files (binary .po)" should mean that Sisulizer can localize .mo files (as original) but not (only) creating .mo targets. Judging from the fact that Sisulizer 2008 does support the creation of .mo files, I think you should also make it available as source format, which theatrically not so difficult as it seems.

Another trivial thing is that the bbs software you use WowUltra has been updated to 1.15. Please consider a update soon. :)

SL V2008 compile MO files very good from PO files. I have tested it with two big PO files. All known localization tools support only translation of strings from PO/POT files and compiling targeted MO files. I don't know any localization tool working directly with MO files. MO files are available for all users of software, because these files are usually included to software setups, but GetText localization method need access to PO/POT files available usually for translators after contacts with software developers, and it prevent unauthorized software localization, and for this reason, it seems to me that Sisulizer has good solution for GetText localization, in accordance with general localization rules.

Best,
Janusz

Janusz is right,

Sisulizer targets software developers who have access to the source files (.po/.pot). .mo files are not meant to be localized itself directly.

Best
