Hi !
I added some "excluded strings" rules in my Sisu project.
(see attached image file)

I want now to hide the strings that correspond to these rules.

How do you manage it ?

What do I have to run to exclude the corresponding strings ?

Thanks for your help.

Pierre.

Hi Pierre,

These setting sthe behaviour of the scan process of strings in your source. Project - Scan for Changes will re-scan your project and use this settings.

But your strings look like more as a context (which is made from component and or properties names). You should exclude them under
Tools - Platforms - VCL - Components|Keywords|Properties.

Als use Project - Scan for Changes afterwards.

Markus

Hello,

“Excluded strings” feature doesn’t works with context items, because this feature is dedicated for original column items. As Markus told, you can exclude selected components from localization via Tools menu for all your projects, or via Project menu | Components | Properties for currently opened project.
BTW:
You needn’t re-scan sources after adding strings to “Excluded Strings” list. After adding new item to list, all occurrences of this item in original column will be automatically excluded.

Best regards,
Janusz

Hello,
Thanks guys, I'm doing progress. This feature about excluding components properties seems to be the right way to proceed. However, I observed that it's working fine on a single Delphi project (with the contextual menu "exclude property xxx" on the grid). Proceeding like that makes Sizu ask for rescanning the project and the corresponding strings are successfully removed.
What I would now like is doing the same operation at the project level, namely to exclude the strings in all the Delphi projects of my Sizu project. But when I tried through the Tools - Platforms - VCL - Components|Properties menu, the changes are not applied on any Delphi project.

What we can observe is this:
At the project level (first picture), and at the Delphi project level (second picture). The component appears overloaded but without the excluded property.

Thanks in advance,

Hello,

Your project was created probably before changes in global settings for VCL components, and Sisulizer keep your old project settings, because Sisulizer allows on individual component settings for projects. However after changes in global settings your component settings in project are different and you saw “Overloaded” information. If you would like use new global settings in your project, you should click on “Restore” button in toolbar (look on screenshot). That change your component settings (project) to default (global), and after click this button you should to see your excluded item in properties column. If you will create new Sisulizer project after changes in global component settings, project should automatically use these settings.

Best regards,
Janusz
