Hello Dear I'm not quite sure if this is a "bug"; When I'm translating in the mainsisu (no exchange project) Sisulizer has a high latency when updating the view. I just have a small sentence like "please select a company from the list", but it feels very laggy to translate it to german. My only filter activated is "Not Translated" in the top right. Is there a feature active in the background which does some grammar checks or anything similiar i can deactivate? Thanks Last edited on Tue Mar 17th, 2009 02:20 pm by aschaepper |

Hi, This problem shows on a very few machines. The pity is, that it seems not to show on the developers machines yet. It might be spell-check related while disabling the live check does not have a positive effect at the moment. Build 282 will have an switch to disable spell-checking completely. That might help to see if spell-checking is the reason on the slow machines or not. In the meantime our R&D tries to figure out what is the difference on the slow machines in contrast to the other machines not showing the effect. Markus

Very thanks for your fast reply. I just did some checks realting to the performance. (As you pointed out it has no impact when switching off the spellcheck on input). However; My PC is Pentium 4 with Hyperthreading enabled and on my machine it is very laggy. I installed the exchange file (but with the whole content, all languages) to a notebook with a real dual core (core duo). And on this machine the performance was absolutely ok. Maybe this helps you?

Hello,My PC is Pentium 4 with Hyperthreading enabled and on my machine it is very laggy. I installed the exchange file (but with the whole content, all languages) to a notebook with a real dual core (core duo). And on this machine the performance was absolutely ok. We have similar case, because our Sisulizer localization project works on some machines correctly but on other slowly. As Markus told it could be concerned to spell checker modules, but it could be related also to some OS settings or installed third party software on specified machines (this is only my personal opinion). I installed the exchange file (but with the whole content, all languages) to a notebook Could you tell me if you installed on your notebook also Sisulizer free edition (with spell-checkers, or not) with exchange project, or you have on this computer some “typical” commercial edition of Sisulizer? It could be important for us, because it can confirm our speculations about spell-checkers. Best, Janusz

Hello Janusz It was the Free Edition Setup with the Project file (from exchange wizard). I included the Spell checker files and the Localized user interface files in the package. Excluded the source files. And im sure on the target machine is no comercial version installed (which might open this file instead of the free edition). Both machines have Windows XP installed with Service Pack 2. The only big difference I could see (as i wrote) is the target processor which has a real dual core and mine with a single core (with HT). Please feel free to ask additional questions.

Hi, Good news. Our developers found and fixed the problems. We had some hard time finding the problem. It was depended on a lot of factors. Factors that did not take place on our developers machines. After a lot of internal discussions we found a way to reproduce the issue. Then it was just a small step to fix. Please become a member of our mailing list: http://www.sisulizer.com/support/mailinglist.shtml . As soon as the new build is available you will get an email how to download it. Best Markus
