I have 3 translators (German, Spanish & French) and always use "Exchange" to send them a package. Lazy as I am I always send them the package with all languages.

Now when I receive the packages back, obviously I only want to import "French" when I import the French translation. Perhaps the French translator has messed up the German translation, so I don't want to import translations from other languages.

When I use Exchange to import the translation, it doesn't show a "select language" window (it does when I use "File -> Import"). Can this be added to Exchange as well?

Besides the language selection window, are there any differences between
File -> Import
and
File -> Exchange -> Import translated project file

Thanks,
Gert

No, only difference is language selection in Import Wizard. All other options in both wizards are identical, also import results for selected language should be the same. Different import solutions (Exchange, Import) are dedicated for different workflow types, but anyway I’ll ask our R&D about adding this step to Exchange Wizard.

This is a good idea which I would like as well. As an alternative it could be an idea to be able to save the exluded items list when exchanging a project. That would make it easier to distribute different languages.

I posted that request here:
