Hello,

Any time ago I described in topic “Several suggestion about new features for the Sisulizer” my ideas about TM (fuzzy matching, and option for saving selected language pair), from that moment emerged in my mind new suggestions for translation memory management. Bellow is summary my all ideas concerning TM:

Main program
-          option for saving to TM (only) languages selected in sheet

Translation Modules
-          adding new tool for conversion database to another type (for example from DBISAM to Trados)
-          fuzzy matching option

Languages managing:
-          deleting selected pair
-          disabling selected pair
-          export selected pair to TMX
-          editing selected pair
-          adding new language
Section for language management could be added as independent dialog  box accessed from main window of the Translation Modules, or could be added to potential TM Editor described below.

TM Editor
Editing options:
-          item content editing
-          item status editing
-          deleting item
-          adding new item
Columns in the source and translation panels:
-          language (with option for expand and collapse contents of selected language)
-          contents
-          status
-          document
-          bookmarks or markers
Additional features:
-          search feature
-          filter for showing only duplicate translations
-          spell checking
-          option for opening and editing TMX files
-          option for adding bookmarks/markers, with additional option (begin marker and end marker) for deleting or export to TMX contents of the panels in area between  markers.

Best,
Janusz

Thanks Janusz,

TM editor is currently on development phase. It will contains the features that you listed. I will keep touch with you when we get TM Editor at alpha phase.

Next major Sisulizer version will also contain fuzzy matching feature.

Jaakko

In one of my previous post I wrote about adding new item to menu of the Sisulizer for saving selected language pairs to TM. I have new idea about implementation this feature to the Sisulizer. Do you think about dialog box with list available languages in project, appeared after choosing option File > Save to Translation Memory?
Additional, could be to add to this dialog option “Don not show next time” (displaying this potential dialog could be reverted, for example from “Translation Engines” or “TM Editor” dialog).

Best,
Janusz

What about adding terminology files? And yes, to be able to include the Microsoft Glossaries in the terminology files...

Terminology feature is already on our ToDo list. But unfortunately, our R&D has long queue of things to implement, so we can't promise any deadline for this.

Best regards,
Janusz
