Hi,

My latest project contain many files. I updated these files recently, and I would like for some reasons re-scan some files before others, but unfortunately, the Sisulizer always scan all files in project at once. Is this possible adding option for scanning only one selected file (for example by adding new option to source context menu of tree pane)? It seem to me that it could be useful feature sometimes, and probably give users better control over their projects.

Best regards,

Janusz

Hi Janusz,

you know that you can right click a source node and the use Scan for Changes only on that node?

I think it is hard to re-scan only singles files from a source because there might be references between the files.

Best

Markus

Yes, I know.

Yes you are right. My case was special, because I exactly tested these references, because original files contain bugs. I found these bugs, but my files were “easy” to validation, because project contain only INI and XML files. Scanning of selected file from VCL, C++ or other binary project can to produce many problems, and I agree with you.

Best,

Janusz

Hi,

perhaps it could work for HTML, XML and INI without references to each others.  Perhaps the developers like the idea to add this for some source types. Could be useful if you have dozends of HTML files and you only want to refresh one at a time.

Best

Markus

Yes, my idea concerns rather to projects with many (INI, HTML and XML) files, for example my project mentioned above contain 190 INI files and several XML and HTML files.

Best,

Janusz

I will implement a scanning of a single file for HTML, XML and INI files. For EXE files it must be EXE-based, because there can be references between different nodes of a EXE-file (like Markus told).

regards
Ilkka
