Hello,

My company is looking into a Localization solution for out HTML Help files.  I have recently downloaded the Sisulizer 1.6.21 for evaluation purposes.  We will be translating these help files into 37 different languages.

Here is my problem.

I use RoboHelp V7 to create the .chm file.  In RoboHelp, you can assign an image map to images that are placed in the help.  You can also assign a 'pop-up' string value for the image map that will be displayed when the user hovers his/her mouse over the image map.

I use this 'pop-up' for the button bar images.  I need to have these values translated to all of the languages as well.

Am I missing something in the program to allow this, or can Sisulizer not handle this?  I would like to know so that I can determine how to handle this for our help.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

do you know how the image maps look like in HTML. Does it use <area> tags?

Best

Markus

The image map uses the <area> tags.  this is the HTML:

<area shape=rect coords="3, 19, 23, 40" href="New.htm" title=New>

Edit --> The title=New is the text that is used for the pop-up.

Can you please send your .chm to

support (at) sisulizer.fi.

Please also add some hints for our developers so they can find the right code part easily. If it is in the HTML and not in some third party code it should be easy to support that. But I can not promise it.

Best

Markus

I will do so. The file that I am sending is not hte whole .chm (it's quite large).

I just placed on small section of it in the e-mail and set the startup topic to one that has the the code in question.

thank you very much for your quick response.

Sending a small sample file is a very good idea. Thanks for your extra work - we really appreciate that.

Best

Markus

Next build (1.6.22) will scan those title attributes.
