At the risk of missing the point here, I'm still trying to understand all the layers or levels of exclusion control - I nonetheless have the distinct impression that there is room for a change in the way that peoperties are excluded for the current project...

The project Components Dialog has a Components tab and this shows the preset or overriden settings for the components found in this project.  Here you can see or override the list of excluded or included properties by control type.

There is also the Properties tab which shows a list of two default excluded properties - Functions.Strings and HelpKeyword.  This is primarily where I want to set my exclusions I suppose.

I think it would be useful to have a primary view by all Properties.  On such a view it would be possible to see a column for Global (Platform / VCL for example) and Project settings.  In these columns would be either empty, single status (such as Excluded) or an indicator for a mixed status.... a pop up then shows the controls applicable with a column for Included, Excluded and Custom(?).  It would be possible to check each one and also to override checkboxes (but remember settings) for each column with an All or None option.

In this way, I can now see the settings more from a project perspective, and, I can go about including or excluding according to what properties are actually in use, and see what the current included or excluded status is, and where it comes from - Global / Project / All  / Per control.....

At the moment, I don't actually know which properties for which to modify the included or excluded status on the Project / Components / Properties tab because from this view I can't see what controls I have in my project, what Properties I have in my project, and whether any of them are already set or overriden on a global or local level.  I'm getting some clues from the results of the translation, and from some logging I've temporarily added into the Sisu translator...

Thoughts?

I'll start processing this on next week. There have been so many urgent things to implement. I will have then some question to ask.
