Hello,

I use Sisulizer to localize many Delphi applications. To tell the truth last time I work every day with this application creating or modifying my slp projects ;-) Those project are not really big (between 10 and 20 MB), but in spite of it Sisulizer needs a lot of time while opening or saving them. Is there any possibility to improve the performance? I would be very grateful for that.

Kind regards,
Barbara

Turn off scanning of images. Images make .slp file much bigger.

1) Right click .exe in the project tree and choose Properties

2) Select Resources sheet. Check only those resource type that you really want to localized. Most applications need only String and Data resources. See screen shot.

Above disabled scanning of bitmap resources. However many forms contains embedded images. This is how to turn them off.

3) Select Excluded Types sheet. Check those data type that you do not want to edit. Most applications need only String data types. Check at least Binary and Picture types to disable images.

I hope this makes your files smaller.

Jaakko

Hello,

I am really sorry that I didn't answer for such a long time… But I am back ;-)

The project sizes I wrote about above mean the size after excluding all data types that I don't need to localize and because of that it is not possible to make the projects smaller.
I already read the 'version history' page and I saw that you did some modifications related to the opening/saving performance - thank you for that! It is very nice of you ;-)

Kind regards,
Barbara
