Hi, During lingual verification we found it very hard to relate a string on the UI to the string tables in Sisu. To overcome this issue we manually (in Excel) combined the pseudo translated string with the significant portion of the string context. For example, if we have the following string: Context: ..\..\Viewing.sln.Framework\ViewerSolution\GraphTable\GraphTableViewer.csproj.Strings.Philips.PmsCT.AppFramework.Forms.GraphTable_StringTable.BaseGraphTable_Physician Original: Physician Pseudo-translation: Phÿsïcïän___X [GraphTableViewer.csproj.Strings.Philips.PmsCT.AppFramework.Forms.GraphTable_StringTable.BaseGraphTable_Physician] Can you add this ability to the pseodo-code generator? By the way, in some cases we can't see the entire string on screen, but then we use Spy++ or similar to trace it, and it works for most strings. Do you mean that there would be an option in pseudo settings that it would append the context part into the pseudo translated string Context Original -> Pseudo_translated+Context No problem to add it but the created string will come very very long. Usually context part is very long. Did I understand incorrectly. What is you platorm. .NET? If .NET is it Windows Forms or WPF? Jaakko

Hi Jakko You understood correctly. The strings do become too long, but we used Spy++ tool to see the entire string. If you have another idea, please share it with us. We have 2 products, one of them is winforms, the other is hybrid with WPF. The product currently in V&V is the first one. Thanks Gadi

 Great! Great! Great! Note that if the Sisu project has many .NET solutions and projects, then there's no need to add the name of the project to the context. Only the path to the string table and the string key is sufficient.

Context part contains only context part after file name. So the file name is not included. You can not choose if the context is added before or after the pseudo translated value. Also you can set strings that are added before and after whole string and string that is added between pseudo translated value and context value. Jaakko Attachment: Untitled.png (Downloaded 7 times)
