Hi, I've translated .htm files from English to Polish with Sisulizer Enterprise.  The translated output Polish .htm files looks OK. These .htm files will be used as Help topics, but when generating Microsoft HTML Help in RoboHelp, the translation fails. E.g. Narzędzie becomes NarzÄ™dzie. Can you confirm that this is a RoboHelp problem and not due to a setting in Sisulizer? I suspect that support for Polish language is missing in this RoboHelp version (I have a very old version)!

It seems that your Polish HTML files are encoded as UTF-8 and RoboHelp treats them as they would be encoded as Windows code page 1250. To change the output encoding choose Project | Edit Source and from Encodings sheet right click encoding in the Polish row.

Hello,

If your RoboHelp version can't compile correct CHM files with Unicode encoding, you can:
1. Change encoding of Sisulizer's output files. Go to "Project" menu -> "Edit" source -> your source file -> "Encoding" tab (look on attached screenshot). Next right click on Polish language item and change encoding from "UTF-8" to "Windows Eastern Europe (1250)". Next you can try compile your CHM file with your old RoboHelp.
2. Compile first your CHM file with RoboHelp, and next use this compiled CHM file as source for Sisulizer project.
If my advices don't help you, upload your source and SLP files to us via Private Upload form. I have a look at this.

Best regards,
Janusz

Hello,

Hi, changed encoding but still not ok when compiling. Can you have a look at attached files?
Hmm... this is odd. Files look correctly, but encoding setting in Sisulizer’s project is still UTF-8. Could you send to us also Polish CHM file compiled by RoboHelp? I would like have a look at this targeted file.

Best regards,
Janusz

Hello,

Thank you for your CHM file. Backfall.htm included to CHM file has Windows-1252 (Western Europe) encoding, while correct encoding should be Windows-1250 (Eastern Europe). It can be a result of:

1. Incorrectly encoding setting in Sisulizer project (Source properties -> "Encodings" tab), that is, Windows-1252 instead Windows-1250.

2. Your old version of RoboHelp can't create files with Windows-1250 encoding, and automatically convert it to Windows-1252. In this case you can:
- upgrade this tool to newer version, or use other CHM authoring tool
- create first your CHM file in RoboHelp tool and next localize this compiled file with Sisulizer.

Best regards,
Janusz
