I am evaluating Sisulizer Pro and am having trouble getting all the controls on one of the forms in my Visual Basic 2008 application.

It shows 2 of the 3 forms perfectly with all the controls

The last form it shows but only the menu tool bar part of it, no other controls, buttons, boxes etc.

When loading it gave me some "hints" about showing unknown components to click on the line then click on the outline in the visual editor but nothing showed up.

This is frustrating because the competitors (Lingobit,Visual Localize,Multilizer) all showed that form perfectly the first time.

The form does have its "localize" property enabled.

Thanks

-V. Elias

Can you send the EXE and Sisulizer project file (.slp) to us. Zip them into a zip file and click Private Upload button to upload the file.

Thank you for the files. Can you also send me the source code of MainForm form (.resx, .vb and .Designer.vb). If you can not send the .vb files I would appercialte if you could send .resx file.

One thing you can do is to try project file localization instead of EXE localization. So instead on adding an EXE file to Sisulizer add Visual Studio project file (.vbproj). In order to visually correctly show the forms Sisulizer has to read some addition data in addition of resource data. It can better read it from source code files than from compiled EXE. The both way (exe or project) will create the same output files (e.g. localized satellite assembly files).

Anyway we will fix this EXE scanning but I just wanted to tell you that another localization method might work better.

OK thanks, I didnt try project file localization versus .exe.

I just tried it and it works!  Maybe thats a better way to do things anyway.

I think my issues are solved, I uploaded the project to you anyway.

Thanks,

-velias

Hi Elias

I found the reason. It was ToolStripContainer. Sisulizer did not correctly read the hierarchy of the panels it contained if the source was Visual Basic EXE. Project file localization and C# EXE worked correctly but Sisulizer failed with Visual Basic EXE.

I start fixing this.

I fixed this in build 301. Now Sisulizer correctly shows ToolStripContainer's panels even if you use EXE localization.

The new build will be released in two weeks.
