I have a text file generated by an external translator, and I cannot get it to import any translations into my SLP.  I can locate the file, set appropriate settings...
File>Import>Import Translations from a File>Localised Text File...
But no translations are applied to my SLP.

As a test I also exported the file
File>Export[Text | Current Node | German....]
and added my own translation to one row, and then tried to import that.  This also fails to bring in the translation.

We haven't been using this method previously, using SLP exchange instead.
Am I missing something obvious with Text import?

Right, the issue is that this task needs to be done by using the Regular Expression defined text file.

Because I had a localised text file, I tried to use the Localised Text File method....

It works using the Regular Expression defined text file method

Yes, exactly. Import from localized files works only for matched source and imported files. I'm glad you already found it.

Best regards,
Janusz
