I am translating an MFC application which uses a resource file (.rc).  I sent a translation package generated by Sisulizer to my Chinese translator.  He sent me back a slp file, translated.    When I open the slp file, it does not contain any of the symbols for the dialogs, menus, text strings, etc.  Instead it has the numeric values.  Also, when I inspect the properties of the slp file, it claims that the source file is the actual resource DLL (compiled), instead of the resource (.RC) file.

Have you experienced this before?  Is there a way to reconnect the translated slp file to it's .RC file and resource.h?

Thanks,

Rich Lamb

Hello,

I don't know if correctly understand your issue, but seems to me that your translator created his own SLP or replaced source with DLL files. In this case contexts in both SLP files are different, so you can't import translation (from Chinese SLP) based on context import method. Of course, you can import this SLP vial By value import method, but I think you don't speak Chinese, so you can't verify imported items (for example duplicate originals with different translations).
I suggest ask your translator what happened with your project. You can also import his project and send your project (with imported items) back to him for validation.

Best regards,
Janusz
