Why are some translations marked automatically in different shades of red?

Thank you,
Hajo

The red indicates the length of the translation compared with the length of the original text. The redder (the more red) the translation the longer it is compared to the original text and the more likely there'll be issues using the translated text to fit inside a form and the less suitable the translation is likely to be.

Hence, the idea is to try to create translations that are not red to reduce the likelihood of problems and ensure the suitability of the translation. However, a translation in RED does NOT guarantee that there will be problems but just indicates which translations might require checking or consideration for alternative translations were applicable.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Mark

Thanks for help:).

Hajo:
Mark answer is perfect. You can disable/enable or change threshold value for this feature via "Tools" menu -> "Sheet" -> "Parameters" tab.
