I'm scanning a very old VB6 project and getting this exception on some forms, but not all.I'm using a version of Sisulizer 2010 I downloaded about six days ago, evaluating for purchase of the Enterprise edition (I think).

I'm certain you'll want the frm and frx, and once I figure out how to privately upload them I'll let you have them.

Thank you for the sample file. There was a bug in Sisulizer. The error occured if there was a property line commented out in the FRM file. For example you had the following lines.

'   BeginProperty Font  'commented by vblm
'      Name            =   "Arial" 'commented by vblm
...
'   EndProperty 'commented by vblm

This was bug in Sisulizer and I fixed it. The fix will be in the next build (213) that will come out in few days.

A workaround is to remove the comments in the FRM file or remove the commented lines altogether.

Jaakko

I think I can do that; I know just which tool added those comments. And a tool by the same vendor will remove them, I hope.

You don't have to remove the comments if you wait few days for the new Sisulizer build (313).

Hi,

A nice tool to find and edit these places in your source is Notepad++. A free tool able to search through multiple files. In case you want to clean your sources from the leftovers of your old tools :-)

Jaakko, I'm evaluating the "whole company" as well; if we can use this tool for the unholy combination of VB6, WinForms, Win32, Fortran Win32, and WPF that I have to maintain, we're gonna fill your bank accounts with converted Euros.

I'm impressed, my boss was impressed, and this has sold us on Sisulizer. I'm making out the order this afternoon for an Enterprise license.
