Our products original language is English. WE have gone ahead and manually translated it into Chinese simplified. WE would like to automatically translate to Chinese traditional using Google. Since translating from Chinese Simplified to Chinese Traditional would produce better results and English->Chinese Traditional. IS there a way to translate from a language that is not the original language?

Hi,

you can change the Original Language using:

Project - Project Options - General - Other - Alternative original.

Hope this helps

Markus

I have an additional question closely related: We have a project to be translated by differnet translators (each for one language), some of them use the german source, some use the english sources. I'd like to build all single exchange files in one step: Is there an option to preset the source language for the different target languages?

No, you can set only one alternative original language per exchange package.

Another closely related question: Can slmake exchange include an alternative original language like exchange assistant can? I did not find any switch for that.

Hello,

There is no option for using of alternative original with slmake. I'll ask our CTO about potential implementing of this feature. It seems to be interesting idea.

Best regards,
Janusz
