Hi,

Identical strings have been added to certain topics in the help to accommodate different output formats, but when Sisulizer scans the project for the changes, the strings are not automatically translated.

In addition, in some cases where the strings are fairly long, they are not segmented in the same way as the original strings and are consequently not translated automatically.

I can send the updated Sisulizer project.

Allen

Hi Allen,

This is odd... Original strings in the SLP seems to be identical. I'll forward this problem to our R&D. You can use following workaround:
Go to "Tools" -> "General" -> "Translations" tab" -> "Duplicate strings" section, and check "Use smart method" checkbox. Next use Translate Duplicate feature via "Column " menu or Sheet context menu. On my machine it translated strings from screenshot you sent to us.

In addition, in some cases where the strings are fairly long, they are not segmented in the same way as the original strings and are consequently not translated automatically.
I think this is result of changes made in source files. Probably previous and updated items have different tag structure and for this reason Sisulizer split it to couple rows. Of course, in this case Sisulizer doesn't recognize it as duplicates (original strings are different). I can check what happened in the source files, if you'll upload to us old and updated versions of following source files:
  • add-ons\SmartXML\Best_practices_for_optimizing_XML_invoices.htm
  • add-ons\AutoValue\The_AutoValue_Plug_in_An_overview.htm
Best regards,
Janusz

Tags have been added to both the string that was there originally and the new string that was added for the new output type to set them apart, so yes, the original string has also changed, but it seems to me that the resulting segmentation is strange regardless of the tagging.

I'm sending an additional example topic with the requested files and a couple of images that hopefully provide more context.

Allen
