Hi,

I'm currently evaluating your software. I've now come across some highlightings in the list view and the dialog view (so far in in red and blue, see attachment). What do these highlightings mean and are they explained anywhere?

Thanks,
Michael

The red color behind text shows you how much longer (red) or shorter (blue) the translation is in contrast to the original.

Hi Markus,

OK, thanks. But what does the red colour in the list mean (lower half, behind "Ground Profile:")?

Michael

That's what I meant. The longer the translation in contrast to the original the darker the red will become.

Car -> Automobile

Automobile becomes red since the word needs more space that Car. You can filter for that as well. Its called Long threshold and is given in %. In the shot I entered 125%. That means everything longer than 125% of the original becomes filtered.

And the other red lines in the WYSIWYG show you if one of the position values has changed in the translation (Top, Left and Width).

Hello,

You can change this sheet behavior via "Tools" menu -> "Sheet" -> "Parameters" tab.
As Markus wrote you can also use text filter based on Long threshold. Here is article about text filters: https://www.the-localization-tool.com/filter-panel-text-filters/
