Hi,

In my project, for example, the original text in a cell is as follows:

"<span style="font-weight: bold;">Note</span>: You will need to look at the <span style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="add-ons/SmartXML/XML_mapper/XML_code_tab.htm">XML code</a></span> in the pane to the left on the screen to find identifier candidates in the code and to write them down so that you can enter them in the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Identifier</span> text box mentioned above."

If you copy/paste it to the translation column, it remains the same, but if you use the option mentioned in the header of this entry, you get the following:

"<span>Note</span>: You will need to look at the <span><a>XML code</a></span> in the pane to the left on the screen to find identifier candidates in the code and to write them down so that you can enter them in the <span>Identifier</span> text box mentioned above."

Regards,

Allen

If I click the identifier I see the old and the new values in a list and do not need to write them down upfront. Is this different in your project?

Where does one find the "identifier" to click?

I have little triangles, e.g with an A in it, to click. The come automatically if you copy the original to the translation field.

And if tags are missing you can add them using the context menu. Try to right click.

Hmmmm...I don't see any triangles anywhere. Where are they supposed to appear?

If Sisulizer detected HTML it should look like that.

Double check that your file type is recognized as HTML.

Ok, now I'm with you. I didn't realize you were referring to the tag icons. Then I guess what you're saying is that this is a feature and not a bug, but from my perspective, if there were a lot of tags in a block of text, it would be very time consuming to have to right-click and enter the extra tag information for every tag if I choose to copy the original text to the translation using Ctrl+Alt+C. I can see where you may want to edit individual tags, but it seems to me that I would expect them to be there automatically if I copy the original to the translation column. IMHO:)

"Copy original to translation" and Copy/Paste could give different results, because those features use different internal methods (custom Sisulizer copy/paste and Windows copy/paste). If you "Copy original to translation" doesn't work as you expected, you can use copy/paste from the sheet context menu (if this works correctly for you):
  1. First select Original column, for example via Ctrl+A.
  2. Use Copy from context menu.
  3. Next select first cell in the Translation column ans use Paste from the context menu.
  4. Check latest row in the project if original and translations are matched.
If you do not want copy all strings, you can use sheet filters for this. You need apply filters before copy operation and disable filters after paste operation.
