I am trying to convert my project from embarcadero to sisulizer.
My project contains delphi and c ++ builder subprojects.
The strings are into forms and stringtable.

If I add to my project a bpl specifying delphi (with the corresponding .drc file) the file opens, but the context is not correct. It contains the string to locate instead of the defined constant.

If I add this pbl specifying c ++ builder instead of delphi:
1 i have a message telling me to specify the .drc but i have no fields to specify it
2 the file opens but I have no context for my strings to locate (just numbers).

In both cases, if I import my .enu file containing the strings already located, I haven't a correct result. In the first case, it does nothing and in the second, the import does it but I have no context.
I hope I'm clear in my explanations.
Thank you.

Dear Hubert,
C++Builder does not have .drc. So if it is a Delphi project you need to add it as Delphi. In Delphi the correct .drc is needed. If the context is wrong then the .drc is out of date or the wrong .drc was referenced. Please make sure have the .drc created for your bpl.

Choose Project - Edit source - <your bpl source> - Project and check the path to the .drc. If the path is marked red it is outdated. Check also if the right path and .drc was selected. Sisulizer might have choosen a wrong one while adding the souce.
Markus

Hello,

Could you upload to us your SLP and source files (with corresponding drc files) via Private Upload form? We'll check this. Here is article about our upload system: https://www.the-localization-tool.com/tech-support-and-using-our-upload-form/

Best regards,
Janusz

Hello Hubert,

Recently our CTO added new feature for choosing used context method. Previously, Sisulizer automatically used DRC file it exists. Now, user can select context method, even if path to DRC file exist in a Sisulizer project. It was implemented on users request. Here is solution for your issue:

Open source properties dialog for HLangue.bpl (e.g. via "Project" menu -> "Edit Source"). Go to "Project" tab and check "Use DRC file" option. Re-scan project and next try import translations from localized files.

BTW:
If you use "Project" menu -> "Import Translations from Localized File", Sisulizer will import only items from stringtable, because captions, etc. in the Forms are identical (English) both in the source and in the localized file. This import feature is fast, but also simplified method of import. If you want import also those items you should use our Import Wizard. Go to "File" menu -> "Import...". Select your localized HLangue.ENU file and next select "Import also those items where the translated value equals to the original values" option in the "Import Wizard - Options" step.

Best regards,
Janusz

I continue on this post to tell you the problems encountered.
I sent you a .strings file that, when it was imported, reversed the context and the values.
I also created an excel file of 'test' for the reintegration of strings which crashes during the import. I try to reproduce it on a smaller project.

Hi Hubert,

Seems to me that import crashes, because integer items (e.g. "8") in the Excel file are translated as strings (for example "DE_8" or "SP_8"), while Sisulizer expects integer translations for integer originals. Please, remove "DE_", "SP_" etc. prefixes from integer translations, and next try import again this Excel file.

Best regards,
Janusz
