Hi,

we want to use the string segmentation methods given for plain textfiles filled with
Markdown syntax.

I'm not an expert in regular expressions so I checked your help for further
instructions, since I don't get exactly what one needs to specify as an after break
string.

For example I want to split a typical markdown list into single strings:
- Entry 1
- Entry 2
- Entry 3
and tried to use

Before break: "-[0-9A-Za-zÁ-Üá-ü]+"
After break:    "s+"

This splits every second list entry so there's missing something.

I also try to split headings as follows:
# Heading 1
## Heading 2
### Heading 3
#### Heading 4
using:

Before break: "#{1,4}[0-9A-Za-zÁ-Üá-ü]+"
After break:    "s+"

which doesn't work at all. When I tried to only split sharps, the {n,m}-specification
you referred to in your documentary doesn't seem to work. Although there might be
differences between implementations I used https://regexr.com to double check my
expressions.

I'm also double checking with a demo of Sisulizer version 4.

Thanks for your help in advance! It is very much appreciated.

Best,
Frederik

Your file is not a structured file Sisulizer can break apart with regex. The file you send does not look like the description in your initial post. Perhaps you did send the wrong files?

Sisulizer expects rows with a simular structure like

id=one;value=One;s;comment=This is a comment;123
id=two;value=Two;e;comment=Another comment;453
id=three;value=Three;r;comment=;321

Where you can define what is the ID and what is the Value to break this into rows in the translation grid.

The regex rules are working for single row and not for multiline.

Sorry for not having better news.

Markus
