Hi,

Up until now we worked on a Windows 7 machine using Sisulizer version 2.1.321. Unfortunately this machine chrashed an we now have a brand new and shining Window 10 machine.

But I'm unable to install this version of Sisulizer on this machine. I'm getting the message: You need to have Windows XP or later to run Sisulizer. Unless I'v invented time travel I'm pretty sure I have a later version then XP.

What to do? Must we upgrade?

Thanks in advance

Yes, indeed the error message is missleading. At the time of the development our time-travel-machine had been in service so we could not test with Windows 8, 8.1, 10 ... :-)
Defacto it means it is time to update after 7 to 10 years with such old Sisulizer version. There had been a lot of bug fixing in UNICODE handling in Windows and newer Sisulizers internally can profit from it.

Hi,

We now have updated to the latest version. Looks good. But when I run the SlMake tool from the command prompt is does not return. It is stuck and the only way to close it is in the the Task Manager.

Any suggestions since this is a bit annoying in an automatic build.

Thanks in advance,
Ronald

Hi Ronald,

Never heard of such issue.

A) Try to reinstall
B) Reboot the machine
C) Check user rights (Admin?)
D) Try to reproduce with a sample coming with Sisulizer
E) Check if some compability settings for old Sisulizer are in use

Hope one of these helps

Markus

Hi,

Restarting helped  Should have thought of that myself :).

Thanks again.

The good old restart on Windows.... :-)

If SLMake would hang on regular base our customers would hang us. So we had been pretty sure it was just a temp effect or something with user rights...

Thanks for positive feedback

Markus
