Hi. I'm having a problem figuring out how to exclude a certain type of row from translation. I'm trying to exclude any row which has ".description" in the context (see screenshot for example). Have tried adding to the "excluded strings" as "*description*" and rescanning the project. Doesn't seem to work. Any tips welcome as there are several thousand to do in 8 languages.

Failing that is there a way to copy source to target and mark as "do not translate" across a multi language project?

Hello,

You can use following procedure:
  1. Click on “Filter” icon on Filter panel’s toolbar or click “View” menu -> “Filter” sheet ->” Edit” menu item and next go to "Text" tab. Her in type "description" in "Context" filed. Here is article about text filters: https://www.the-localization-tool.com/filter-panel-text-filters/
  2. After applying filters, click a column in sheet and press Ctrl+Alt+A.
  3. Next, right click on an cell in sheet and select "Exclude" -> "Exclude selected rows" in the context menu. Optionally you can use "Do Not Translate" feature instead excluding. Here is article about those both features: https://www.the-localization-tool.com/i-want-to-disable-localization-for-some-rows-what-is-better-locking-or-excluding/
You can revert excluded items to project via "Project" menu -> "Excluded Rows...".
Best regards,
Janusz
