Hello:

I'm trying to import a series of translation from an XLS file but it's not working.

In the attached image you can follow my description of the problem.

1- I have a SLP project that needs Portuguese translations. In the image you can see for example, that "Delete Offset" is empty. It's context values is: "..\Bin\Aki.exe.Forms.TFDENSITYMAP.btnDelete.Caption" as you can see.
2- I have an XLS file with a lot of translation, including Portuguese. In the image you can see a screenshot of the file where for context "..\Bin\Aki.exe.Forms.TFDENSITYMAP.btnDelete.Caption" the portuguese translation is "Excluir deslocamento".
3- I use File-Import for the import process. I made a Column.sli file because I will use the same config for the other languages. (I will send all files with Private upload). In the image you can see that there is a big range of translations. I configure "C\C++" as new line because that was used in the previous export stage.
4- After that I only choose Portuguese as Language to import. I want to go slow. See image.
5- In the "Import method" I choose "By context" because I have the context in the XLS file. And I check a couple more options. See image.
6- After accepting the last screen., I get "No translations imported" as you can see at the bottom of the image.

Please, tell me how to import this translation.

Thanks...

Pablo.

Hi,

Janusz will look into it when back to office tomorrow.

In the meantime try partial context check box and/or by context then by value.

The context holds the complete path. If you move files the context will not fit 1:1. Partitial context sometimes help. If not you still have by value.

Markus

Ok.

I undertand that can use the "by value" option too but I have the XLS file with de exact context for this file. I would like to make a 1:1 match using this field. It's the more accurate. ;)

I'll wait for Janusz.

Thanks.

PS: I make the image detailing the steps a litlle small so it can be seen more easily (since the attachment process reduce it to 1024px tall).

Hi Pablo,
Your Excel file contains additional columns ("File" before context, "Translate" and "RDY" after Original column) and amount of columns you selected in the the Import Wizard doesn't match with columns in the Excel file. For this reason Sisulizer can't import translations. Please add 3 "Ignore" columns in the Import Wizard and set their order as on attached screenshot.
Best regards,Janusz
