Hello,

I have a small issue with the Translate Duplicates fonctionnality:

It does not seem to translate all duplicates.

Example:
I have a lot of good French translations. All these are set to status Complete.
I have set the option "Tools" > "General" > "Translations" > "How to select duplicate strings" > to "By original" As was suggested in other topics about this same subject.
I also added these "Complete" translations to the embedded translation memory.

Now, I select the French column for the Whole project, go to the menu Column -> Translate Duplicates.
This does not add any translation. The Output is simply "Translate Duplicates, Elapsed time 484ms"
So far so good.

However, I now go through the not translated items in French and there are numerous entries for which, when I enter a translation (that is not exactly the same as for the same word in other entries), I get a prompt asking:

"Translate duplicate string:
[...]
Check all the other duplicate rows you like to translate too
[...]"

It thus seems that this duplicate did not get recognised when I previously used
Column -> Translate Duplicates.

Is this behaviour to be expected?
How should I make Sisulizer translate ALL duplicates that have exactly the same Original?

Thank you,
Luca

Hi Luca,
without a concret reproducible sample that is hard to track. Sometimesthe differences are minor or not obvious. Try to create a small sample data and the steps showing the way to the issue. We then can look into it.

Btw: To my knowledge the routines behind Project - Translate Duplicates and the dialog that find the dups while editing are the very same...

Markus

Would it help if I send you the project file by PM and give a few examples?
