We have a WPF application translated from German to many different languages. Now we have the requirement to change the default language from German to English. So I thought to use the following method:

1. Set the option 'Items that localized resource file contains' -> All
2. Build the project for the English translation.
3. Add the additional German as translation target.
4. Copy all Original-texts to German translation.
5. Change original language to English and close Sisulizer.
6. Replace all .resx with .en.resx produced in first step.

Maybe there are some additional steps, but I failed at step 2 already. The problem is the lines
<data name="Print" type="System.Resources.ResXFileRef, System.Windows.Forms">
<value>..\Resources\Print.png;System.Drawing.Bitmap, System.Drawing, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a</value>
</data>

are replaced by
<data name="Print" type="System.Drawing.Bitmap, System.Drawing, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" mimetype="application/x-microsoft.net.object.bytearray.base64">
<value>iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUh...RQYpLDp7Kt8Q1p837t4ASwsPm9d5fnP5NTnfU9QkJkGqBSyRIbCAXPVjHHdrtt1u24fs/8BuIPBkpXgcw8AAAAASUVORK5CYII=</value>
</data>

For sure I can change all ~200 files manually, but maybe you have a better suggestion?
Maybe there is a much simpler way to achieve the requirement?

Regards,
Christian

Hi,
Create your project localized in English.
Change you project in VS that English is your only language.
Create a new project from you english source files in Sisulizer.Import your translations from the old project or from a text file with language pairs you exported from the old project.
Btw: Do you know, that you can change the original language for translators (relay translation)? Its in the option "Alternative Original"
Hope this helps
Markus
