Hello:

I'm having problems with system format settings like Short Date format and number formats when using localization files. We use separe localization files.

I'm developing with Delphi Rio and Windows 10 (english version).
Short date format = "dd/MM/yyyy"
Decimal separator ","
The clock in the status bar shows (correctly) today date as "20/05/2020"

I use the following delphi format code to show the date:
l_Today := FormatDateTime(FormatSettings.ShortDateFormat, Date);

When I run the application using localization files, l_Today is "5/20/2020" (WRONG).
If I delete all localization files and run de application, l_Today is "20/05/2020" (CORRECT)

Why are localization files changing windows default settings?

We have similar problems with de Decimal separator.
For example: MyVariable = '5,3'.
When we try to use MyVariable.ToDouble or StrToFloat(MyVariable) we have an error.
If we run without localization files, it works fine.

Thanks in advance...

Pablo.
